Did Marvin of Save On Sams ever deliver your hardwood? Talk about being dicked around - he promised us hardwood in May 08 as well. After many lies and false promises we still had NOTHING in August. We finally demanded out deposit back from Visa. Imagine the gall of this liar. He claimed that he had the product and we refused to pick it up. He claimed that he is owed $15000 from us for absolutely NOTHING. What an absolute scam artist. Be very careful if you still do not haveyour wood at this point.
He claims to offer FSC wood - a certfied environmentally safe wood products - He lies about this too. I checked with the FSC organization - he is not registered. Therefore he cannot claim to have FSC wood. Wood that is FSC is stamped and registered.
By the way - I passed his shop recently - he has changed the name of his business - no longer Save on Sam's. Only dishonest people who have to run from bad business deals have to change their business name. If he had a good reputation - his business name would be worth "gold" - He is probably getting sued by other people who he scammed out of money as well. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN!!!

Hey Colin

You certainly expressed your frustration with President's Choice Financial. I bet they know who you are when you call now. After screwing you around royally, but then, making you feel better with a $200 grocery coupon. Wow That Galen Westen is certainly a man of the people.

I hope this has not dampened your enthusiasm for the project, although I would certainly understand the sense of "PISSED OFF" you must be feeling.

It was great seeing you all this summer. I expect to be back in Toronto at Christmas so maybe things will have moved on in a positive way by then.

cheers Terry

Hey Colin

Great Blog. You have done a good job of making me understand what you were doing up to the May 15 entry. I am hoping to get out to Uxbridge before returning to Calgary to see what has happened since.

cheers Terry
